Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) is a great asset class for everyone looking for passive income and consistent growth over time. As a REIT investor, you can go through all the files reported by the companies such as Supplemental Packages, Presentations, Quarterly and Annual Reports, or more formal reports such as the 10-K and you may get discouraged with all that information in a non intuitive way and having no standards. You can use well known platforms as well, but they tend to treat REITs like any other companies missing key metrics that are specific for the Real Estate sector. Sure, you can let you financial planner or your big bank take care of that for you, it's an option, although a costly one.
It wasn't an option for us. We wanted to be global REIT investors. We wanted to have a structure based on the literature and decades of research that could help us understand and keep track of our REIT investments around the world. With that in mind, alreits.com was born.
