Understanding the License Key Flow with Alreits

Alreits provides a streamlined process for partners to manage their audience's access to our premium features. Here's a step-by-step overview of how the license key flow works:

1. Initial Setup

We start by setting up essential information for your partnership:

• Email: The contact email for communications.
• External Platform Link: A link to your platform, such as Seeking Alpha or SubStack.
• Price per User: The agreed rate you will be charged per active user.

2. License Key Creation and Distribution

• A new license key is generated with an expiration date and sent to you via email. This license key will automatically renew every month, and a new email will be sent with updated details.
• The email will include a unique link that you can share with your audience to access the platform, formatted as: https://alreits.com/join?key={LICENSE_KEY}.

3. User Registration and Status Management

• Users will visit the provided link and complete a short registration, entering their name, username (if coming from Seeking Alpha), and email.
• User Status:
  • NEW: Users are marked as NEW upon registration.
  • TRIAL: The status changes to TRIAL when the user signs in for the first time.
  • ACTIVE: The status changes to ACTIVE when the user activates a new license key after the trial period.
  • EXPIRED: If the license key expires, the user status is updated to EXPIRED.
• Billing: Only ACTIVE users will be billed. NEW, TRIAL and EXPIRED users are not charged.

4. Access for Active Users

ACTIVE and TRIAL users gain full access to:

• Partner-specific portfolios and feeds.
• All Alreits Premium features, including data, tools, and insights.

5. How Expired Users Renew Their Access

EXPIRED users will follow 3 simple steps:

• Visit the Partner product and get the current valid License Key
• Go to their Settings page
• Enter the current valid License Key and click the Activate button

They can always follow the 3 steps above as long as they are still paying subscribers to the Partner's product.

6. Billing Process

• At the start of each month, Alreits will bill you for the ACTIVE users from the previous month. You'll receive this billing information via email.
• Additionally, the payment link and detailed billing information will be available on your Partner Dashboard.

7. Partner Dashboard

Your Partner Dashboard provides comprehensive tools and insights, including:

• The Join link with the current license key.
• A list of ACTIVE users, as well as all users who have used the license key in the past (NEW, TRIAL or EXPIRED).
• Billing information.
• Feed management options.
